I'm playing The Last Of Us every night at the moment, basically ever since it arrived Friday. It is turning out to be one of those games where I want to know what happens but don't want it to finish. Therefore I find myself playing a bit of it and then leaving it at that, maybe a couple of hours at a time. Inevitably there will come a point in the game each night where I reach a point where I get stuck as it were. Not stuck as in I don't know what to do but more in the challenge presented by the game to get past a certain encounter. I then realise that in order to not get frustrated by the game and to continue to enjoy it I leave it at that for the night. Playing this way is really working for me, I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience and getting the most out of it I feel.
Kind of weird that most games I can plow through getting as much out of them as fast as I can but with this one I want it to last. I know I'll be sad when I finish it since the game won't be fresh to me any more, just like the first time you experience any new form of entertainment. Still I'm glad it is turning out to be one of games that I can really savour.
