My wife saw a flash of my extreme nerdery last night. We were watching the last episode of Alcatraz, an interesting program that needs better main characters. As part of it since it is set in San Francisco (yeah right, that much miserable and rainy weather in SF?) they decided to do a homage to the famous car chase scene in Bullitt. They used modern day versions of the same cars and went on roughly the same route. It had a similar beginning, the same reappearing green beetle and similar suspension destroying jumps. I was commenting on it as it went along. It was at that point that my wife despaired of my knowledge of things and realised yet again she is married to someone who takes interest in stupid nerdy things.
I've never seen it as something other than who I am and I love my wife for accepting that I am this way.
