Game choice dilemma

I have a choice to make. As I've mentioned before the end of the calendar year is a time when a lot of new videogames are released in order to get in the glut of games bought during the Christmas period. Normally I get quite a few games for Christmas so try not to buy any of the games coming out in that time period. However most years I will find a game or two that I can play for the entirety of October through Christmas day so I can keep myself occupied with something. Last year it was the extra content for Borderlands (which I'm actually still playing through again now). The year before that it was Dragon Age: Origins where I played through it multiple times.

All of these games are ones that have a lot of content that take dozens and dozens of hours to get through. My dilemma this year is what am I going to play in the run up to Christmas. I'm half tempted by Dead Island despite the reports of it having technical glitches. Then there is Skyrim which I know will have a lot of content but doesn't come out until early November. I've looked at games that came out earlier this year that I didn't play and there is nothing worthwhile there. You can see my dilemma now :| .

I'm sure I'll find something and no, not playing games is not an option :P .
