A quick quiet period here at work so though I would waffle on for a bit for a couple of minutes. Definitely a lot of activity going on in my life at the moment. Finally arranged to get the tow hitch attached to the car, just waiting for the parts to turn up so I can arrange a time to get them fitted. Once that is done we are ready to do our first trip next month. Looking forward to it although a little daunted at driving such a long vehicle and trying to reverse with that big trailer back there.
I think the cats really missed us while we were away, they spent all day yesterday hanging out with my wife and all evening within 5 feet of us at all times except when they needed to eat or pee. Lucy especially climbed up on me in the evening and fell asleep on my chest as we lazed around on the sofa. Cats are incredibly affectionate animals when treated properly, I really don't see how people see them as aloof and not wanting attention.
Going to start the US citizenship stuff very soon thinking about it. Now that our trip is done with we only have just over a year before our green cards expire so time to sort that out. It shouldn't be too annoying, just need to make sure we pass the test and make no mistakes on the paperwork and we will be good to go. My wife is worried about a couple of the potential questions on the test (who a couple of the politicians are like the local representative etc.) but the vast majority of them are pretty damn easy. Knowing a little about the US and you can breeze through it.
Stomach grumbles are starting up right now, time to break out the snack food and do a little bit more work before lunch. Dried pineapple here I come.
