Some strange things come up in conversations at work sometime. Talking at lunch with some people we were discussing the new guy who started here this week. He has this strange indentation in the middle of his forehead that looks a little strange but whatever. The people in our group went out to lunch on Monday to welcome this new guy to the group and to get to know him and each other.
As we went out it was raining slightly so this new guy ran to his car to get a coat with a hood. The rest of us, given that it was California rain and therefore barely making things wet, just casually wandered along wondering why he was dashing off like that. It turns out, as discovered from a conversation on the way back from lunch, he is very susceptible to colds and so forth if he gets wet. Why you ask? Apparently he has a chunk of his skull missing from an accident earlier on in his life. Clearly he doesn't mind talking about it since the dent it causes in his head is very noticeable and people obviously ask him about it every so often.
Still, there we go. The totally random things people bring up about themselves that make you realise we all have something strange about us in one way or another even if it isn't completely physically blatant as it is with this guy.
