Well my experiment yesterday has failed miserably so far. It makes it stranger why my previous post about Nigella got so many hits unless she just is really that popular. Oh well.
In case anybody was wondering by the way, I did find the memory leak the other day, about 30 minutes after I vented about it here on this blog. How bad was this leak in the long term? Even though it was just 17 bytes, after 5 days of running 5 calls a second a test system here leaked over 180Megs of memory, that is significant on something that runs an entire voice switching system in only 512Megs of memory. And yes that is the same amount of memory newer mobile phones have, kind of scary huh that such a relatively small amount of memory can do so much when used correctly.
Hey, guess what? I got another new game. Shocking I know. This time it is Infamous 2, the follow up to a game I mastered a couple of years ago. Playing the sequel the improvement in the visuals is actually quite noticeable and the control of the main character is a little less floaty than the previous game. I'm missing less jumps than I did before. I didn't get much time with it last night but it should keep me busy for a while. I'm also still going through the Lego Pirates game finding all the hidden items, I'm somewhere around 90% done with that, which if you consider that when just playing the game straight through to finish the story you only get about 30% to 35% of the items there is a lot of stuff to find afterwards.
Oh and I thought I would post this picture as well. It is something I came across this morning that just makes you want to slap someone. To make it clearer JDRF stands for Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.....
