Seems the supreme court finally got around to realising that videogames are just another form of "protected speech". How California could try to argue that they should be treated differently from things like films, tv shows and comics is beyond me but that is what they were trying to do. Turning the government in to a replacement for parental responsibility is a fools game. It should not be up to companies to raise your children, that is your job. You need to instill the sense of right and wrong in your children and be their protector while they grow up. The whole argument about videogames being primarily for children and hence needing special accommodations is a fallacy in the first place. The overwhelming majority of people playing games are in their 20s and 30s.
I'm just glad finally the law courts saw sense and stopped any further attempts to badly legislate something that I enjoy a lot.
it's not like you can be remotely considered an underage minor buying them though is it....
