Unhappy cat

Boots is nearing the end of his isolation. Over a week has gone now with him being shut away from the rest of the cats and he is getting tired of it obviously. The poor guy can only get a little bit of fuss from me or my wife a few times a day and he is starting to express his displeasure with this situation vocally. When I got up nice and early as usual this morning he was doing his loud yowling. I went in there to say hello and fuss him a little bit but he only half purred, he really wanted to whine and get out. It is heartbreaking having to keep him cooped up in there with no way to explain to him why we are doing it.

I just hope that when my wife lets him out permanently next week he gets a little happier once he can go back to his normal lifestyle. In the end this two week period will be worth it to give him quite a few years of better life ahead of him, especially since he will be 12 years old next month. We are hoping for him to be around for a lot longer yet, hence why we gave him this treatment (all $1400 of it....).
