I did some programming

Shocking to hear me say that isn't it? A guy who programs for a living did some programming. Well this wasn't programming at work, this was programming at home, something I very rarely do. It was a very cool present my wife got me for my birthday, a programmable controller with motors and sensors in Lego. I built a few different things this weekend to try it out including a decent size robot who you could get to walk, talk, hold things, move towards or away from sensed objects etc. It is very cool indeed and I've spent some time looking for ideas on what to make it do or examples of other things people have done to build upon.

The language set within the built in program is a little limited but I've found a C like language that would work better for me so I'm going to poke around that and use it instead since programming by dragging and dropping icons is slow and annoying.  I could then attempt something cool like this guy who made a rubik's cube solver and a sudoku solver. Honestly though I think I'll try to come up with some cat play thing using the laser pointer we have and some form or interactive motion sensor thing to see if I can control a cat and where it goes (evil laugh), mainly Daisy since she is the most hyper for laser pointers.
