Work has not been fun so far today, people were working all weekend trying to finish the development work they should have finished weeks ago. Of course since this hasn't been done the code has not been tested fully since we can't run all the tests until all the development work is done. This means that things are found to be broken late in the release. Which means I get to fix shit again, stuff that was working that people break by not thinking.
Not only do they not think they simply are unable to work out why things were broken and what to do about it. If people simply thought logically about what they are doing it would be so much easier. Computers think very logically when you get down to it, they may not seem like they do but they do. There is always a logical reason for why they do something. If people get that in to their head and not come up with fancy illogical explanations for things just so they look like they know what they are doing.
Sometimes it is painful being clever :-|
