Good husbands are always in the wrong. As in they always apologise for something they didn't do, such as in a wife's dream, something they didn't and couldn't do. They know the mere act of saying sorry is enough since their wife knows them well enough to know they wouldn't do what they actually did in the dream. Seriously, I've never played bridge in my life.
You get the idea. Making your wife feel better, even for something totally unrelated to you, is a sign of a good husband. It isn't the fact that you had nothing to do with it, it is the fact that you are willing to make your wife feel better for something completely out of your control. Just that is enough and it makes the apologies for things you do actually do wrong mean something in a strange way. Your wife will know you are truly contrite about what happened.
So now I just need to find something to mess up today and apologise to my wife for it. That is how it works isn't it?
