It is so weird being back at work today. Not to mention bloody cold, very close to freezing driving in to work this morning and frost everywhere over all the plants. Hard getting back in to the effort of doing work, I've done some this morning, looked at old work still there from before the holiday and quickly triaged a new bug that came in. Always lots of fiddly little things to do. That and I need to get my self assessment done for the last calendar year. Ugh, hate those things, so fake most of the time and if management doesn't know how it's employees are doing at any time then they have failed at management, it shouldn't be a once a year thing. I've always gotten great reviews so I see no reason why this one won't be. As long as it actually leads to some form of reward other than worthless stock options I'll be happy.
Finished a game last night, wrapped up the last few bits in Lego Lord Of The Rings. It is amazing that with all the other games I got for Christmas I chose that one to spend most of my time on. It is just pure fun I suppose, something easy and enjoyable to relax during my time off. They really are getting better at making fun large worlds and silly humour in those games. We shall have to see what they have a go at next considering I've played all of them except the Harry Potter and crappy Star Wars ones. The fact that I got my 19th platinum trophy also helps, thats quite a few more than I ever expected to have to be honest.
So now I just need to get off my arse and do the stuff I have to do after sitting around on it for a week and a half. As enjoyable and relaxing as that is the world keeps going and expecting me to do stuff. Onwards with that stuff then.
