Another fun day

  Finally managed to get to work this morning. This picture was the view out of the front of my car as I sat stationary for 15 minutes.

  There was an accident on the first big hill I drive over on the way to work. A single SUV who managed to drive in to the back of an 18 wheeler (yeah, I'm not sure how you do that either) brought 5 lanes of traffic to a complete halt. Considering where I commute from a lot of people leave for work early that is going to mess up quite a few people's start to the day.

  Anyway, on to more interesting things. My wife's visit to the doctor went well yesterday, we got one medicine prescribed at a higher dose and finally he agreed to take her off of another that she hasn't needed to take for a couple of years now. We also both got our whooping cough vaccination shots for when we go see our nephew since cases of it are on the rise here and we don't want to bring it back and infect a new born (well, he will be 3 months) baby with it.

  More good news, the California income tax refund turned up yesterday and the federal income tax refund turned up today. Cash monies straight in to the bank account is always good and a nice boost. We always end up overpaying each year and get a good few thousand back combined between the two. It seems a better method than ended up owing taxes and having to pay out more.

   I think I will end this post with one more picture of our cat Daisy. Here she is trying to act all innocent and cute after being found wandering around on the kitchen counter. None of our other cats have ever shown any interest in wandering around up there but over the last few days she has been up there a lot and we are trying to discourage her. Mainly because we don't want her walking across the cooker and hurting herself but also because there is usually some form of edible thing up there and we don't want her eating everything.
