Random stuff again

  Morning rituals are complete (breakfast, checking web sites, reading email etc.) so time for a random rambling blog update.

  Found out what happened to that interviewee yesterday after we (the people who were meant to do the interviewing) complained to HR and our VP. Apparently the person could not make it and informed HR who didn't think to tell us. So I sat on my arse in the lobby for 25 minutes waiting for this person to turn up when the company already knew he wasn't coming. Thanks.

  Played another new game last night, Bulletstorm. Very silly game with stupid dialogue a 12 year old boy would enjoy. However the actual gameplay is rather fun. It is a first person shooter where you get points for doing skillful or just downright silly shots. You also can kick or leash enemies so you end up throwing them through the air, shooting them in various body parts, throwing enemies around on to bits of the environment to impale electrocute and dismember them. Generally just doing stupid things to get points. There are something like 131 "skill shots" that are things you can do to get points. They vary from the simple "Kill an enemy by kicking him against a surface" to the slightly more complicated "Get an enemy airborne, kill a different enemy, then kill the first before he lands" and up to the completely silly "Shoot an enemy in the balls then kick or shoot his head off". It is that kind of game and has more swearing per second in the dialogue than any other game I've played but it just stupid fun it seems.

  Petrol has decide to get silly expensive (at least for this country) with it being 4$ a gallon. I filled up the other day and hit the $75 limit on card purchases at the pump. All I can be thankful for is that we are not still living in England where the equivalent price is something nearer $9 to $10 per gallon at the moment. That would suck majorly.

  Trying to come up with a list of potential women for my Wednesday posts. I have a few more ideas now and will probably do some women known more for being in films rather than TV as I have done so far. Also might do some younger ones since all the people I have picked so far have been around my age.

  Ok, it has been 25 minutes since that last paragraph. I got interrupted by other people here at work and have now lost my train of thought (such as it was).  I should just post this blog entry and write some more stuff later when I have a chance. Time to go kick code butt and design cool things.
