With the wife sick in bed and me not feeling totally great either it is a very quiet day here today. Outside is still really grotty (or at least California grotty). There were some wicked winds last night and the pool has a couple of tons of leaves at the bottom of it. Really really windy to say the least, let alone all the rain that came with it. It sucked as well since there was so much cloud cover my wife didn't get a chance to take some moon pictures.
I've been reading an interesting book my wife got me. It talks about how to go about doing something we have fantasized about even though I very much doubt it will ever happen. Just reading about it though makes it very clear what it takes to make it happen and I'm not sure I'm capable of it. Still, I know my wife is trying and I'm trying as hard as she is. That wasn't too vague was it :) ?
Can't believe that in a day over two weeks we will be heading off to England, it has been so long since we've been back. Despite the shortness of the trip it is going to be fun to see the old country again as it were. With it being winter here in California the land and hills around us are actually green instead of the dead grass look it has for a large part of the year. One thing I do miss about England is how green it is everywhere unlike here even if the scenery in California is more varied that what I grew up with back there. Not sure how seeing the family will go, especially since we are mainly going only to see our nephew but we could not not go see him.
Going to find something to do for a bit whilst my wife sleeps (and all 4 cats, the lazy buggers).
