Saturday random musings

Just finished getting another couple of things for the new caravan. Getting quite excited to actually have it and start traveling around with it. Anyway on to the random stuff
  • In clearing out my wardrobe the other day I found some clothes I have not worn in at least a decade. They actually fit again which means I'm the same waist size I was when I was in my twenties. See, hanging on to old shit does pay off :-) . They are also not completely out of style and unfashionable since they never were fashionable in the first place...
  • Still can't quite seem to lose any more weight than I have whilst I'm on the subject of shrinking waist lines. I seem to be hovering in the 175 to 180 pounds range. Not bad but I would prefer to be under 170 to be honest.
  • Finally finished Bulletstorm last night. Very fun game even if the swearing is kind of over the top. The ridiculousness of the violence in it though more than makes up for it and makes it a change to the usual FPS action you get. Recommended anyone pick it up to at least try it if they can.
  • California is now above average rainfall for the year already. We had 4 inches of rain in one day last week, which if you consider we only get 15 inches per year total is a hell of a lot. I'm kind of glad I didn't drive in to work that day. Combine that with 40mph winds that day and you get the typical California wet weather disaster on the roads going on.
  • Going to see if my parents actually remember to use Skype this weekend. If we can train them to use it instead of the phone we can finally be rid of the landline.
  • I think I may need to clean up my phone soon, it is a 16Gig one and I only have 3Gig free. Almost 10Gig of apps is a little bit much me thinks. Time to delete some of the free junk I don't use anymore.
  • Lucy serenaded us again this morning with her plaintive mewling around the house as she realises that she has been away from us for too long. She gets very attached to being able to run up to us and get a fuss and if she can't she gets quite upset. She is similar to Fudge in that way, he gets in to an almost panic if he wakes up and can't find us.
  • We already have two trips away booked with our caravan. Did I mention that we are looking forward to using it?
There we go, mind emptied out of the random things going through it. Now off to find ways to completely shut it down for the weekend so I can switch off for a bit mentally speaking.
