No more Midsomer

After watching untold hours of Midsomer Murders we finally reached the end of the free episodes we got with our amazon prime subscription. 10 series in all although there are 13 available. I can't remember when we first started watching but it had become a habit when we had nothing on the Tivo to watch. There were mostly enjoyable, a few iffy ones but overall nice to watch some British TV again compared to a lot of the drivel in the US.

I suppose it gave us a link back to our origin, even though the depiction of British country life is really no longer valid. The general style and attitude of the people as compared to how it is here. We do miss that some just not the chavs that inevitably come along with it in most of British society. I think if we can find somewhere reasonably out of the way in the US, without being in bumfuck nowhere, we can finally escape the chavs.

That is what it comes down to really, getting away from all the idiot people and through watching that TV program we had a bit of that. In our own world ignoring the world outside and just being together seeing what happened in this little bit of very high death count countryside.

Now the only problem is to find something else to fill the time like Midsomer did. We tried a short lived series of only 6 episodes yesterday and got through all of it. Something more substantial might have to be found.
