A slightly weird day today. Lots of traffic this morning due to rain and an accident not even half way to work so it turned my 50 minutes morning commute to an hour. Not that bothersome just had to be careful due to California drivers losing their brains once there is a little water on the road.
Now add to that the fact that my company is actually giving us a lunch and afternoon out at a local Dave and Busters to celebrate the successful latest release of the software for our product which hasn't happened for years and there are good and bad things about today. Not that I suspect I'll partake much in the celebration, the food their is way bad for you and the "games" there are kind of crappy.
A good thing though is that if I can get away from this celebration early enough I can get home early to my wife. More time at home with her is top of my list of ways to spend my time. Not much longer left at work before heading off to lunch so looking forward to getting that over with and going home.
In other weird news there seems to be a sudden rash of Nissan Leaf breeding here at work. After one guy got one last month two more have turned up this week. All in the same colour. So of course they all decide to park near to each other in their little collection so we have 3 identical electric cars out in the car park. Really weird and seems to be something to do with the rebates possible from the state and the federal government at the moment. Shame they don't have the range for me to use where we currently live since they seem fairly decent.
