For once it is really properly raining in California today. As in you can't go flat out on the road windscreen wipers going at full speed. Of course this meant accidents galore as people tried to do 80 and spun out. Idiots. Add to that the fun that one road had flooded across 3 of the 4 lanes on the way to work (thank god I have a high riding car, I got through it with no problem unlike the steaming small cars beside me) and it was an interesting journey. Looking at the traffic stuff now and it is lit up, quite festively, like a Christmas tree. We even have mud slides it seems. Also why do I keep typing flodded when I mean to type flooded.
So, on to nicer things. Like the dinner out my wife and I had last night. At our usual place where we are now close to getting a free meal after eating there enough times. Well $25 off a meal but that is enough for us to eat free considering the reasonable amount we eat between the two of us. Getting out every so often is good for us, it gets us out of the house and gives us time to be together, just the two of us. Even at home there are 4 cats so at one time or another at least one of them is with us. Not to mention going out means we don't have to cook or clean up :) . As an added bonus there is now left over pizza to eat.
Finally I am in full swing of Christmas shopping. Gifts for me wife have been bought and should be here soon. I plan to have everything here very soon so that all the last minute crap that goes on and the busy times at shops are something I can avoid totally.
