I can't hide anymore

I got tagged to do this so I thought what the heck, no point in hiding out in here anymore let's write this stuff down and see what happens. Somehow I need to get over the shock that on a trip I've got coming up back to England me and my wife are going to meet for the first time a couple of people that she has been talking to online for the last 5 or 6 years. They are a very strange pair but nice people.

Also, while this is on my mind and before I move on to answering the questions. Guys, you don't need to be complete and utter slobs. In the bathroom at work just know one guy came in, snorted and hurked out a huge lugey while taking a piss, another left without even washing his hands and a third washed his hands but left a small lake on the counter. Seriously, WTF is up with people. I'm no saint but I was kind of disgusted by all this, they must have been dragged up and not raised.

  Ok, on to the questions.

1. If you have pets, do you see them as merely animals, or are they members of your family?
I have 4 cats and no kids, what do you think? I love my little furballs (or not so little in a couple of cases). They are treated like I would treat a member of my family or another person.

2. If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?
To be able to give the people important to me the life they want that will make them happy. I should throw myself in to that group as well really just so I don't look completely sappy.

3. What is the one thing most hated by you?
Ignorant hateful people. There is no excuse for it and no excuse to treat other people badly just because you are a moron. Idiots of the world get a freaking clue please.

4. What would you do with a billion dollars?
Spend it trying to achieve the answer to question number 2. I've got nobody to leave it to so along with my wife and I, the people around me that I care about deserve everything. I'm also very picky about who I care about so think before applying :-) .

5. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?
To be honest I'm a pretty mellow guy who doesn't get angry much. When I do get annoyed though finding something to just lose myself in like a relaxing videogame or a good bit of fiction to read lets my mind go away from what put me there and move on.

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Being loved. Is there any real need to answer this question, it's kind of obvious.

7. What is your bedtime routine?
Nothing exciting, make sure cats have biscuits and water, brush my teeth, get clothes ready for next day if it is a work day and tell my wife I love her.

8. If you are currently in a relationship, how did you meet your partner?
Online way back in 1991 with the limited internet as it was then. Yeah, that's right, I was way ahead of the curve there, you're envious now aren't you?

9. If you could watch a creative person in the act of the creative process, who would it be?
I've always wanted to watch an actor practicing a part. Something about trying to pretend you are someone you are not fascinates me.

10. What kinds of books do you read?
I'm a geek, nerd and dork all rolled in to one. Therefore sci fi, fantasy and humour books please me. Other than that I'll try anything once to see what it is like.

11. How would you see yourself in ten years time?
Honestly I have no idea. Maybe retired early after somehow making my fortune but more than likely still slaving away at what I do. The only thing I know for sure is that I will be with my wife and have the friends I want to have because really other than that does it matter?

12. What’s your fear?
Confined spaces. You will never find me crawling around exploring dark, damp narrow caves.

13. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the opportunity to visit outer space?
Probably not, other than the experience of actually seeing the Earth from up there realistically what in my lifetime could I hope for. The totally fascinating parts of seeing outer space are beyond us technologically at the moment.

14. Would you rather be single and rich or married, but poor?
Having been single and poor, married and poor and married and doing alright I would say married and poor. As long as I have someone to love and who loves me I don't care about money, it's just a means to an end.

15. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
See if it really is 4am since I always seem to wake up at that time. When it isn't I get this little thrill since I managed to sleep in. Unless it is a work day and somehow I didn't wake up in time in which case it is shout "OH SHIT" quite loudly.

16. If you could change one thing about your spouse/partner what would it be?
Honestly, I would like my wife to be more confident in herself. She has had so many people needlessly destroy her confidence she can be quite paralysed sometimes.

17. If you could pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?
Rob or Bob, something simple like that. Those or my middle name Neil not that I don't like my name as it is, I reckon is suits me but then I'm used to it.

18. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing that special someone has done?
I've already forgiven something horrible done by that special someone that was done to me specifically. I'm never going to forget it though.

19. If you could only eat one thing for the next 6 months, what would it be?
Food. The question did ask for one "thing". Food is a thing. Yes I can be a pedantic bugger when I want to.

There we go, all done. That took longer that I thought it would. Now on to the four bloggers I think you should follow. All of these are people I follow so therefore they are already great people. In no particular order they are:-

Sara at Sara Swears A Lot since she comes across as a sincere nice person who isn't afraid to speak her mind which is always a good thing.

Whomever it is at Kitty Stampede since someone who posts pictures of cats is a good person in my book and no I'm not biased.

Chrissy at I Should Been a Stripper since she comes across as another funny honest person. Definite preference coming through here in my choices I think.

So there we go, all done and lunch break is over now so I need to at least look like I'm doing work for a bit. Yes I did get some work done today, more than most people around here I have to say as well :-) .
